Show Low/White Mountain Institute ASFB Project
SHOW LOW/WHITE MOUNTAIN INSTITUTE ASFB PROJECT
Contract Amount = 2.8M
This was an Arizona School Facilities Board funded project and logistically, one of the more difficult projects that I have done. The reason for this was due to renovations on 6 different schools simultaneously including the new construction of the White Mountain Institute Vocational School. The schools included in this contract were the Pinedale School, Show Low High, Intermediate and Primary Schools, Clay Springs Elementary and Linden Elementary as well as the White Mountain Institute.
Some of the renovations included seismic upgrades and structural support of the historical Pinedale School; mechanical and electrical upgrades at the Show Low Intermediate and High Schools as well as extensive mechanical and roof upgrades at Clay Springs and Show Low Primary. There were also new bleachers, a water storage tank, and septic system modifications among others.
The highlight of the contract however was the new White Mountain Institute. The WMI Vocational School featured computer science and chemical labs, a large wood shop and a full five bay auto mechanics shop complete with vehicle lifts.
